Sizing Guide

The following measurements are based on using 3mm thread and a 3mm crochet hook:

  • 1 year – 100 chains

  • 2 years – 110 chains

  • 3 years – 120 chains

  • 4 years – 130 chains

🧶 To begin, chain the required number of stitches according to the desired size, then join the ends with a slip stitch to form a circle.

Crochet Instructions – Step by Step

Yoke

Round 1:

  • Chain 4, skip 1 chain, then make 1 double crochet in the next stitch.

  • Chain 1, skip 1 chain, then make 1 double crochet in the next stitch.

  • Repeat this sequence until the end of the round.

  • Join with a slip stitch in the 3rd chain from the beginning.

Round 2 (Increase Round):

  • Chain 3.

  • In each chain space from the previous round, work 2 double crochets.

  • In each double crochet stitch, make 1 double crochet.

  • Continue this pattern until the end of the round.

  • Join with a slip stitch in the 3rd chain from the beginning.

Round 3:

  • Repeat Round 1.

Round 4:

  • Chain 3.

  • In the chain spaces from the previous round, make 2 double crochets.

  • In the double crochet stitches, make 1 double crochet.

  • In the next chain space, make 1 double crochet.

  • Continue this sequence until the end of the round.

  • Join with a slip stitch in the 3rd chain from the beginning.

Rounds 5, 7, and 9:

  • Repeat Round 1.

Round 6:

  • Chain 3.

  • Make 1 double crochet in each stitch across the round.

Round 8:

  • Repeat Round 6.

💡 At this point, if you started with 100 chains, you should have approximately 94 squares. These squares need to be divided into four equal sections: two sleeves, one front, and one back. For example, if you have 94 squares:

  • 22 squares for each sleeve

  • 25 squares for the front and back

  • Use stitch markers to mark these sections.

Skirt Section

Round 1:

  • Start within a square by chaining 4.

  • In the same square, make 5 treble crochets.

  • Chain 1, then in the next square, make 1 single crochet.

  • Chain 1, then in the following square, make 6 treble crochets.

  • At the sleeve markers, skip the 22 squares allocated for the sleeves.

  • Continue this sequence along the front section, then skip the 22 sleeve squares again when reaching the next marker.

  • Repeat the pattern until the end of the round.

  • Join with a slip stitch in the 4th chain from the beginning.

Round 2:

  • Start by positioning with a slip stitch in the first treble crochet.

  • Chain 4, then make 2 back post treble crochets.

  • Chain 2, then in the next fan, make 3 back post treble crochets.

  • Skip to the next fan and repeat the pattern.

  • Continue this sequence until the end of the round.

  • Join with a slip stitch in the 4th chain from the beginning.

Round 3:

  • Repeat Round 1.

  • Join with a slip stitch at the beginning chain.

📏 Continue working in the established pattern until you reach the desired length.

Finishing Touches & Customisation

Add Decorative Edges – Consider adding a delicate scalloped or picot edging to the hemline for an extra elegant touch.
🌸 Play with Colours – While pink is a classic choice, you can experiment with pastels, ombré yarn, or even colour-blocking for a modern twist.
🎀 Embellishments – Sew on small crochet flowers, bows, or pearl buttons to enhance the dress’s charm.
