🔗 Joining the Daisy Squares

You have two options for slip-stitch joining:

  • Visible Ridge (Wrong Side): With the wrong sides facing you, slip stitch through the front loops of adjacent squares. This creates a decorative ridge on the back.

  • Invisible Join (Right Side): With right sides facing you, slip stitch through the back loops for a smooth, nearly seamless finish.

🪡 Border Instructions

The border is worked in joined rounds, always keeping the right side of the blanket facing you:

Round 1 (8 mm hook):
Join yarn in the back loop of the left chain in any ch-2 corner space. Ch 1, sc in same st.
Sc in back loops only around entire blanket. Use extended single crochet (esc) in the joins between squares to even out height.
In each corner: sc in the back loop of the first ch, ch 2, sc in the back loop of the second ch.
Sl st to first sc.

Round 2 (10 mm hook):
Ch 1, sl st in same st. Work loose slip stitches in the back loops around.
In corners: ch 2 over the corner gaps (do not work into them).
Sl st to first st to finish round.

Rounds 3–4: Repeat Round 2. In Round 4, ch 3 in the corners instead of 2.

Round 5: Repeat Round 4. In the corners, ch 3 and skip three stitches between chains to create spacing.
Fasten off and weave in all ends.
