Crochet Baby Blanket with Arches – Free Pattern + PDF Tutorial

Looking for a charming crochet pattern with just the right touch of elegance?
The Crochet Baby Blanket with Arches combines texture, comfort, and timeless style into one soothing, stitch-filled experience. Whether you’re creating a thoughtful gift for a baby shower or adding a personal touch to a nursery, this pattern delivers beauty and warmth in equal measure.

Delicate, scalloped arches lend the blanket a soft, lacy finish—airy yet snuggly. It’s a soothing stitch-repeat that beginners can confidently tackle, especially those ready to branch out into more decorative techniques. For seasoned crocheters, it offers that perfect “put-your-feet-up” rhythm we all love in a relaxing project.

Choose gentle pastels or go bold with bright baby hues—whatever your colour palette, this blanket pattern is a showstopper.

Rows 6–9
Repeat the pattern as follows:
Row 6: Same as Row 2 (dc clusters with ch-4 spaces)
Row 7: Same as Row 3 (sc in ch-4 spaces with ch-4 in between)
Row 8: Same as Row 4 (3 dc in each ch-4 space)
Row 9: Same as Row 5 (dc across)

Helpful Tip: Colour Changes

Carry the unused yarn neatly behind your work, crocheting over it where possible. This keeps your edges tidy and saves you from weaving in endless ends later.
